Kidney Beam is now supported by NHS England Renal Clinical Networks
The new year has come and gone, and Kidney Beam is pleased to have the continued support of seven charities across the UK and Republic of Ireland. We are grateful for the support of Kidney Research UK, Kidney Care UK, National Kidney Federation, UK Kidney Association, Polycystic Kidney Disease Charity, Kidney Wales, and James Tracy – Punchestown Kidney Research Fund, as we work towards full commissioning with the NHS.
Kidney Beam is proud to be working towards NHS implementation working with five of the NHS England Renal Clinical Networks, who have come on board to fund access to Kidney Beam for their patients.
The Renal Clinical Networks involved are:
The Midlands Kidney Network
North East & North Cumbria Kidney Network
Yorkshire & Humber Kidney Network
The North West Kidney Network
London Kidney Network
Patients who receive their renal care in the NHS trusts covered by these Clinical Networks can enter their clinic details during the sign up to Kidney Beam, and they will automatically be given complimentary access. We also welcome patients from Wales and the Republic of Ireland, whose access is being supported by Kidney Wales and James Tracy – Punchestown Kidney Research Fund.
If your area is not covered by these arrangements, and you are already a member of Kidney Beam pre-2023, your free membership has not changed. If you are a new member, you can still take advantage of our two-week free trial, after which you will be given the option to continue with a paid monthly membership.
At Kidney Beam, our future aim is health equality for all, and we know it will be disappointing if you hear your area isn’t covered. If it’s important to you that more Renal Clinical Networks are aware of the Kidney Beam platform, please reach out to your local kidney team and your kidney patient association to let them know that patients are asking for access to the Kidney Beam platform.
